This workshop covers Principles of Reinforcement, which are often considered the most important principles in ABA. It reviews definitions of reinforcement, how they are applied (interval or ratio) and how they are measured. Reinforcement can be fixed or variable and it is important to understand the concepts for overall behavioral change procedures.
Managing Classroom Behavior
This workshop defines behavior and it’s 4 functions. We cover examples of the function areas and we also do some role play to describe how to prioritize behavioral needs. Then we discuss treatment options for each function of behavior so that school staff can have a better handle on how to deal with various challenges.
